Robin Mitchell, born June 5, 1959, peacefully passed away on April 21, 2026.
Her life was a beacon of unwavering faith and resilience, a testament to a spirit that remained steadfast in the face of adversity. For 23 years, Robin bravely battled the challenges of dialysis without a single complaint, embodying a strength that inspired all who knew her. Throughout her journey, she never wavered in her faith in Jesus, standing as a symbol of courage and grace.
Robin was preceded in death by her loving parents, Johnnie and Elise Mitchell, and her best friend, Greg Linville, whose memory she held near her heart.
A cherished member of the First Baptist Church in Glenwood, Arkansas, Robin’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She graduated from Kirby High School in the class of 1977, and throughout her years, she found joy in many treasured hobbies. Robin delighted in quilting, sewing, and crafting, finding peace and creativity in diamond art and word games. She also loved reading and the simple pleasures of napping, and seeing jonquils, as well as sharing laughter by spraying friends and family with water. Above all, her greatest joy was spending precious time with her children and grandchildren, always going out of her way to make things happen for them.
Robin’s family was the heart of her world. She was lovingly surrounded by her devoted sons, Jon Montgomery (Victoria) and Hayes Linville (Andrea); Her daughters, Jada Montgomery and Brooke Mitchell (Kayla), also stood close by her side; Her beloved grandchildren, Dirk, Addi, and KK, brought endless light into her life. Robin’s family circle extended to her brothers Mickey Mitchell (Jerrie) and Justin Mitchell (Sherrie), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She also counted many dear friends among those who cherished her deeply.
The family would like to recognize the Arkansas Renal Group and CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs- Surgical ICU, as well as everyone who helped along the way. There are too many friends and family who were a major part of Robin’s life to only list a few.
Robin Mitchell leaves behind a legacy of profound love, resilience, and faith. She was a woman who truly lived a life full of kindness and strength. Her spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
The community was invited to honor Robin’s remarkable life with a visitation at Smith Family Funeral Home – Glenwood on April 27 from 5 to 7 p.m. Her funeral service was held on April 28 at 2 p.m. at Glenwood First Baptist Church.
