Jane Carolyn Bean, age 85, of Amity, went to be with her Heavenly Father on April 30, 2026.

She was born on November 15, 1940 in Forester, Arkansas to the late Hubert and Lottie Raines.

She married her sweetie, Curt Bean, on December 8, 1958.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Lottie Raines; her brother and sister-in-law, Lawrence and Alma Ruth Raines; her brother, Jackie Raines; her granddaughter, Bralee Vaughn; her son-in-law, Thomas Garner; and the love of her life and biggest baby, Curt Bean.

She was a member of Amity First Baptist Church for 74 years, where she supplied multitudes of treats for VBS and food for potlucks.

She was known for being one of Amity’s most faithful prayer warriors. She was a homemaker, and her greatest joy was her family. She enjoyed meals with her family and making sure that everyone always had plenty to eat, because she never wanted anyone to leave hungry. She was known in the community for her chocolate pies, a lover of sweets and desserts, no meal was complete without either, and the sweeter the tea, the better.

She is survived by her daughter, Gina Garner and her family Christy and Marty Buck; her son, Tim and Debby Bean and their family, Justin and Krystina Bean, Rylee, Brayden, Greyson and Peyton, Nikita and Josh Allen, Zaiden, Emmie, Paxton and Gatlin, Kinzie and Nick Vaughn and Landry, Robin and Phil Hartsfield, Haylee Barnett and Tayton and Allie Hartsfield, Mary Ann & Clint Naney and Cole and Lane; her daughter Melanie and Craig Hall, Blake Hall and Carson Hall and Candace and Jared Coffman, Olen & Ilee Jane; her daughter Corey and Scott Thomason and their family, Rachel, Faith and Anna; her sister-in-law Nina and Garry Johns and her sister-in-law, Sue Bean.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 5, in Amity at First Baptist Church at 11 a.m. with Bro. John McAnally officiating. Visitation was held an hour prior to the service. Interment was at Jones Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Stan Harding, Jeff Sandage, Wes Johns, Kyle Johns, Tommy Bean, Stan Bean, and Gary Bean II. Honorary Pallbearers were the entire staff at Dougan’s Oak Park and Danny Dougan. And in special thanks to her friends: Ms. Mary, Ms. Rosie, and Trish.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jones Cemetery, 2579 Fendley Road, Amity.
