The Lady Knights finished the season at Mena, Monday May 4th playing the Cossatot Lady Eagles. The Lady Knights needed to win the contest to secure their first Conference Championship in program history. They won the game 1-0 on a goal by Eunice Monsivais. Their conference record was 4-0-2, good for first place. They will enter the State Tournament as a #1 seed and in their first game play a #4 seed from another conference at Conway on May 14. (Ticket info- see below.)  Coach Ward Menzies said, “We are very proud of this team’s accomplishments and are looking forward to the state tournament.” 

The Knights defeated the Cossatot Eagles 6-1 on May 4th to finish their conference games with a perfect 10-0 record. They also earned the program’s first Conference Championship. They will likewise enter the state tournament as a #1 seed and play a #4 seed from another conference in an initial contest on May 14 at Conway. 

The information at present suggests that tickets to the contests can be purchased at the stadium at the time of the games. The “3-A” state tournament, according to the Arkansas Activities Association Facebook page, will be played at Conway Christian. 

As the opponents for the Centerpoint teams haven’t yet been determined, it is suggested that interested parties check out the latest information on the Centerpoint Knight Soccer page on Facebook. Information on tickets should also be found there. 

The final home game, a non-conference contest with the Lakeside Rams (Hot Springs)  junior varsity teams, will be on Friday, May 8 with the girls’ game beginning at 5 PM and the boys’ contest at 7 PM.
